THE PROCESS
All good concepts start with a good understanding of the storytelling and/or the people behind it.
In that case, Bona Léa, the founder, was the solid base of every blooming aspect of Jabanè.
Official Jabanè Sessions #4 poster
Directed discussions and brainstorming sessions gave us a few keywords & elements that were representing the world that she was trying to build for that 4th edition.
We started to sketch.
Rounded and organic shapes, natural stones and gems textures that bring a shiny, precious, yet solid feeling.
Gradient tints that reflect light and warmth of an intimate and safe environment.

THE LOGO
From dancing figures to new logo
Emerald, gem-like textures shape the letters — a precious and natural treasure.
After a directed identity workshop with the founder, Bona Léa, I began exploring and sketching, building on the insights from our discussions.
The organic forms gave life to dancing figures interacting with one another — merging into a single entity shaped by the connection of each element.
These dancers then evolved into interlocked letters forming the name Jabanè.

THE VISUAL
The starting point for the visual was one of Yaqine Hamzaoui ’s exploratory drawings for the concept.
Isolated and textured to echo the logo’s material, it evolved into the key element of the 4th edition’s visual identity.
MAKE IT LIVE
The campaign required cross-platform visuals and printed displays across the Belgian capital.
I handled the design of print and social assets, while the Plein De Jeu creative team produced the promotional BTS video and closing event photoshoot.
